Sherri Burrell, M.Ed is an educator and youth development specialist with over 25 years working and teaching students and adults with disabilities. Sherri is the youngest of five children from Jamaican immigrants and a native of Brooklyn, NY. She received her undergraduate degree from Alfred University in Alfred, NY and her Masters of Education with a concentration in Autism and Developmental Disabilities from Simmons College in Boston, MA.

Prior to Georgia Tech, she taught at the New England Center for Children in Southborough, MA the top special education school in Massachusetts focusing on academic learning, self-care, life skills, and vocational skills of youth between ages of 7 - 22 years old. Sherri went on to become the Director of Training and Certified Cognitive Skills Trainer at LearningRx where she strengthened cognitive skills such as memory, attention, and executive functioning, that help address learning difficulties in children and adults. After 10 years as Director of Training at LearningRx and being named National Trainer of the Year, she moved on as the Program Coordinator at YELLS, Inc. in Marietta to support academic success and empower individuals and families in becoming leaders in their community.

Sherri is a David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality Certified Youth Methods Trainer and empowers leaders to adapt, implement, and scale research-validated quality improvement systems to advance youth development.
